Our Odyssey:

During our time in Berlin, we took a day trip to Potsdam, home to Prussian King Frederich the Great’s summer estate, Sanssouci, built during the mid-1700s. The estate is now a park where you can meander and visit the several palaces and landmarks. The most interesting fact we took away from our time here was that the king had an obsession with ancient Rome and Italian design. For example, there are Roman baths on the property that were never even bathed in, and the water supply fit the estate was built to be camouflaged by fake Roman ruins. Weird. 1. Sanssouci Palace. 2. The New Palace. 3. Windmill on the estate. 4. Orangerie Palace.
